I haven't had 'real' TV for around 4 years. I don't have any of your gizmos but get my TV fix by watching shows on iTunes and renting the odd movie. It's also nice that my daughter isn't exposed to all those awful kids channels which she sees at her grandparents' house! I'd love to see the technology for 'alternative' TV get to a better place so that the things that you're talking about are a bit more accessible to the lay-person. For example, the download time on iTunes is somewhat painful at times, so you have to be a bit more organized. It's only a matter of time, though.
