Outstanding Technology Consultancy of the Year - The Holmes Report Global SABRE Award Winner
Deutsch  |  中文

The PR Week Awards are fine and all, but the accolade everyone wants…

…is the best mo in PR.

movember1Yes, it’s that time of year again as self-respecting men across the globe give up shaving their top lips to help raise vital awareness around men’s health issues. It’s the marvelous month of Movember.

Bite is a longstanding supporter of the event, however this year we’re throwing down the gauntlet to other agencies across the globe – MObilize your mo bros and sistas to join the MOvement and claim the titles of agency and man of MOvember. With a number of agencies already signed up, 2010 promises some stiff competition…however we can always use MOre. If you’re a communications consultancy, and you think you have the hairiest men in PR – get involved.

Points will be awarded for:

-          MO Style – the best sculpted MO in PR

-          MO Substance – the top lip MOst abundant with hair

-          MO Shame – the most embarrassing facial sprouting

-          MOst MO’s – the most MO Bros by agency

And MOst importantly…

-          MO Money – most cash raised by agency for charity

And probably some other categories we’ve yet to think of.

To follow the fun, the PR Movember blog will be resurrected here.

If you’re an agency taking part in Movember, and want to join the challenge – click here

Or, you can just pay money to watch us humiliate ourselves. Sponsor Bite ComMOnications here.

Updates to follow – here’s to a hairy 30 days.

October 15, 2010

I’m sure by now you’ve either heard or read about the recent Gap logo fiasco and the company’s failed attempt to launch a brand new, “modern, sexy, cool” logo. Apparently the new logo only lasted less than one week, with consumer reaction so negative that it caused the quick creation of a Gap Logo Twitter handle [...]

Of Andrew Marr, journalists, bloggers, pots and kettles

October 14, 2010

“Hark at the pot calling the kettle black!” That cryptic remark was a frequent criticism issued by the aunts and grans of my youth. When pressed for an explanation they would divulge that this was oldies’ code for those who criticise others for failings that they themselves suffer from. So when I read the ubiquitous [...]

TNS Digital Life – “The Worlds Largest (digital) Survey EVER”!

October 14, 2010

I thought last Sunday (10/10/10) was actually “Ben 10″ day, since I spent a good part of the morning watching Ben 10 episode after Ben 10 episode with my 5 year old son, but it turns out it was “digital day.”  You would think as Bite head of Digital for APAC I would have known.  [...]

Byte Night: A 6am camera crew and a serious message

October 12, 2010

On Friday, I blogged about Bite UK’s pyjama day, and our other fundraising activities for Byte Night (Action for Children’s sleepout in aid of youth homelessness). As well as taking on Byte Night’s promotion pro bono this year, Bite UK sent a group of stalwarts to sleep out in the cold.
So we’ve already talked about [...]

October 8, 2010

Co-authored by Sara Koepsel
Recently, members of the United Nations came together in New York to discuss the Millennium Development Goals and how we can find solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. On a slightly less grand scale, three members of Bite NY (Sara Giles, Sara Koepsel and Ryan Wallace) had the opportunity to attend [...]
